FUNGISKIN

FUNGISKIN is characterized by its marbled, velvety surface and has visual similarities with animal leather, but differs in that it is a vegan, sustainable alternative. FUNGISKIN feels exceptionally soft and pleasantly light due to its high air content, which gives the material additional insulating properties. FUNGISKIN also has highly absorbent and antiseptic properties.
The size of the FUNGISKIN depends always on the size of the mushroom body. (It can't be produced as yard goods...) The material thickness, weight, color, density, etc. can also vary within the surface. Please note that FUNGISKIN is a 100% natural product.
Each piece of FUNGISKIN is made from a single Tinder fungus. They differ in color, size, shape and feel. So it is possible that for the individual products, material of different mushrooms is used. Tinder Fungus contains a large amount of melanin, which can lead to discoloration, as with other natural products. In the course of time, FUNGISKIN also shows more and more traces of use, which are quite intentional and give the material its very own look. The FUNGISKIN also sensitive to moisture and dirt.

QUILT

    QUILT

  • The handmade QUILT is made of 100% natural FUNGISKIN. The diversity of the tinder mushroom is combined here in a patchwork. Infinite brown, beige, red and yellow tones give the QUILT a warm look. The velvety soft touch and the changing structures become an experience when touched. Every QUILT is unique. Depending on the size you can use the QUILT in many ways. It is suitable as a decorative blanket for furniture or as a tapestry.

For better tear resistance and water-repellent properties, we have coated one side of the FUNGISKIN. The coating also gives the FUNGISKIN its leather-like look and makes the colors appear darker and more intense. It is easily resealable due to the snap fasteners.

This protects the material from moisture and dirt. It is easily resealable due to the snap fasteners. The inner lining of the wallets consists of a robust cotton.

For better tear resistance and water-repellent properties we have coated it on one side. The coating also gives the mushroom material its leather-like look and makes the colors appear darker and more intense. The snap fasteners make it easy to reclose and with the adjustable cotton band the neck pouch can be worn around the neck.

FUNGISKIN

    FUNGISKIN PIECES

  • Material from natural and untreated tinder fungi. Each piece of FUNGISKIN is cut from a single fruiting body and then pulled into shape by hand. The size of a FUNGISKIN is always dependent on the size of the fruiting body. All FUNGISKINs differ in shape, color, feel, weight and material thickness. PRODUCTION BY THE METER IS NOT POSSIBLE! EACH PIECE IS UNIQUE.
    The FUNGISKINs all have a different shape and size. Unfortunately these cannot be standardized. We have therefore decided to use square centimeters. This specification is not linked to a specific length. Since some pieces are difficult to measure due to their shape, we have also decided to divide them into categories.

    • Size 1: 80 cm² up to 120 SQUARE CENTIMETER 8€/piece
    • size 2: 120 cm² up to 160 cm² 12€/piece
    • size 3: 160 cm² up to 200 cm² 16€/piece
    • size 4: 200 cm² up to 240 cm² 20€/piece
